Dr. Yiyun Hu is an associate professor at the Institute of International and Comparative Education, Beijing Normal University. She holds her Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Beijing International Studies University, a Master's degree in Intercultural Education from the University of Huelva, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Education from Beijing Normal University. Her professional experience includes working at the Confucius Institute Headquarters (2007-2010) and teaching Chinese as a foreign language at the Cultural Office of the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico, and the Hispanic-Asian Center of the University of Huelva, Spain. Additionally, she served as a Spanish teacher at Beijing International Studies University (2010-2015). Dr. Hu's research interests focus on international education, education policy, and education in Latin American region and countries. She has presided and participated in over 10 national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects. She has authored monographs including A Study on the Mechanisms of Higher Education Cooperation between Latin America and the European Union and Research on the Internationalization Policies of Higher Education in Latin America. She has translated The Cultural Foundation of Chinese Education by Mr. Gu Mingyuan from Chinese into Spanish. She has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles such as Educational Research, International de Comparative Education, European Journal of Education, and International Journal of Chinese Education.
