APEC Higher Education Research Center (AHERC) was established based on the APEC 2014 Leaders‘ Declaration. As a specialized organization and a platform to strengthen higher education exchange and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, AHERC will promote mutual understanding of APEC economies by strengthening joint studies on higher education theories, systems, policies and practices in this region. It can also provide consultation and advice for APEC economies on higher education reform and development. 

Since its establishment, AHERC has received strong support from government departments and various sectors of society in APEC economies. We warmly welcome government departments, universities, research institutions, primary and secondary schools, enterprises, intermediary organizations from APEC economies to engage in extensive and effective cooperation with AHERC. AHERC looks forward to working together with colleagues from all walks of life to promote higher education research and promote the development and reform of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region.
